We are looking to hire a full-time Recruiter to join our growing team at Elysian Staffing in Richmond, VA!

Elysian Staffing is a recruitment agency placing mid-to-executive-level creative, marketing, and operations professionals in agencies and brands across the United States. As a Recruiter at Elysian, you'll play a vital role in developing and nurturing relationships with creative talent, and sourcing exceptional candidates for freelance, temp-to-perm, and direct-hire roles. The right person for this role is proactive, responsive, and thrives in a fast-moving, purpose-driven environment.

This is a hybrid role open to candidates based in the Richmond, VA area.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Source, recruit, and vet candidates for freelance, temp-to-perm, and direct-hire roles

• Partner closely with the Recruiting Manager to understand client needs and deliver aligned talent

• Review, qualify, and present candidates with attention to both skillset and culture fit

• Schedule interviews and coordinate onboarding logistics in a timely, professional manner

• Maintain consistent communication with candidates throughout the process, building trust and rapport

• Manage recruiting activities in our ATS, including job postings, candidate records, and notes

• Act as a point of contact for freelancers and talent, responding thoughtfully to questions and resolving issues

• Stay current on creative and marketing industry trends to better serve candidates and clients alike

• Conduct skill and experience assessments to match talent to roles with care and discernment

• Ensure documentation and compliance for all candidate submissions and hires

• Represent Elysian’s brand with professionalism and enthusiasm in every interaction

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years of recruiting experience, ideally in a staffing or agency setting

• Familiarity with end-to-end recruitment processes, from sourcing through onboarding

• Comfortable managing face-to-face and virtual interactions with professionalism and ease

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize effectively in a remote environment

• Excellent communication skills—listening, writing, and speaking with clarity and empathy

• Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through

• Growth-oriented and open to feedback—someone who is always looking to improve and learn

• High level of integrity and care for delivering great service to both candidates and clients

• Interest in the creative and marketing space is a must; industry knowledge is a plus

• Tech-savvy, especially with ATS platforms, databases, and scheduling tools
