Our client, an in-house Advertising Agency with offices in Englewood Cliffs, NJ, is seeking a full time Creative Director to join their team. This is fully on-site so only candidates who are within a commutable location to Northern NJ will be considered. The Creative Director is a senior leadership role responsible for defining the creative vision, ensuring quality, and delivering a unified strategy across consumer goods and Brand Marketing. This role calls for a modern creative leader—deeply grounded in brand storytelling and campaign craft with an awareness, reach and conversion mindset, while fluently integrating emerging technologies and AI into the creative process. Partnering closely with the Executive Creative Director (ECD), the CD will help execute a forward-looking creative strategy that anticipates market shifts, elevates brand impact, and leverages innovation to drive business results.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Brand Stewardship & Campaign Excellence

  • Unified Brand Vision: Establish and uphold a cohesive, high-quality creative vision across all campaigns, ensuring brand consistency while addressing the distinct needs of the marketing and business units.
  • Strategic Storytelling: Translate complex business objectives into clear, compelling visual and verbal narratives that resonate with consumers in a rapidly evolving marketplace.
  • Creative Quality: Maintain rigorous standards across all creative outputs, ensuring work consistently meets or exceeds market-leading expectations.
  • Insights Driven: Use data, insights, and performance learnings to inform creative decisions and continuously optimize creative impact

Modern Creative Leadership

  • AI-Enabled Craft: Champion the exploration and responsible integration of emerging creative technologies, including AI-driven tools, to enhance efficiency, ideation, and creative excellence.
  • Innovation & Process: Implement modern workflows that reduce friction, streamline production, and allow teams to focus on high-value conceptual thinking.
  • Forward Focus: Foster a culture that embraces digital, experiential, and technology-enabled solutions as core components of the creative offering.

Commerce & Experience Leadership

  • Oversee product and commerce creative across PDP, digital commerce platforms, retail environments, and performance media
  • Develop AI-enabled content systems to support personalization and dynamic creative

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • People Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop Creative Art Directors and senior creative talent, building a culture of accountability, growth, and creative ambition.
  • ECD Partnership: Work in close collaboration with the ECD to align creative vision with operational execution and long-term strategic goals.
  • Cross-Functional Integration: Partner with copy, marketing, and internal leadership teams to support fully integrated brand initiatives.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Client Relationships: Serve as a primary creative contact for stakeholders, building
  • trusted, collaborative relationships.
  • In-house client partner: Partner with marketing team to balance the need from the brand and product business in addition to the agency team to support fully integrated brand initiatives. Provide thoughtful, actionable feedback that strengthens ideas and execution while fostering growth and creative excellence
  • Presentation & Advocacy: Lead creative presentations and reviews, articulating strategic rationale clearly while incorporating feedback without compromising brand integrity.
  • Cross Functional team collaboration: Partner with account and strategy teams to translate business growth objectives into creative opportunity

QUALIFICATION:

  • 5+ Years of Leadership Experience: Proven success in senior creative leadership roles, overseeing complex, multi-brand or multi-business portfolios.
  • Creative Mindset: A modern, forward-thinking approach that views AI and emerging technologies as tools to elevate ideas—not replace them.
  • Collaboration: Strong ability to work cross-functionally and align visual and verbal storytelling across teams.
  • Presence: Full-time role requiring in-office presence five days per week.
